The title is written on a label in black ink. Scale and legend are not given; orientation is marked along the borders on all four sides with north at the top. Leqing County was close to the sea, and located 80 li northeast of Wenzhou prefectural seat, Zhejiang Province. Leqing was 15 li from Haidu to the east, 60 li from Tongling in Nanxi to the west, 5 li from sea to the south, and 150 li from Xianju County to the north. The map offers pictorial depictions of cities and towns, mountains, rivers, and brigades. The Leqing County seal in both Chinese and Manchu is stamped on the top.

Leqing Brigade was established in the 15th year of Qing Shunzhi’s reign, 1658; the brigade governed five battalions stationed in Leqing County under the jurisdiction of the Wenzhou Division Regional Commander. The brigade was positioned to defend the county and coastal areas. Since Yuhuanshan was not identified as the capital town of the brigade, this map may have been drawn during Yongzheng period, 1723-1728.
