No title appears on this map; the title applied here is based on content. Scale and legend are not given; orientation is marked along the borders on all four sides with north at the top. The map offers pictorial depictions of the county’s capital town and military posts. Xiangshan County was 270 li southeast of Ningbo prefectural seat; it’s 200 li wide from east to west, 205 li from south to north. The map covers Xiangshan Peninsula. Places names are identified, such as, from top to bottom on the left of the map, Qiancang Suo, Xiangshan County, Juexi Suo, Changguo Wei, and Shipu Suo. Based on the information given, this is an official military map. Every defense garrison is marked on the map; the map may have been drawn after the eighth year of Qing Yongzheng’s reign, 1730.
