No title appears on this map; the title applied here is based on content. Scale and legend are not given; orientation is marked along the borders on all four sides with north at the top. The map depicts some features of Changshu with simple images and annotations, including the capital towns of Changshu County and Fushan Brigade, military posts, bridges, and mountains. Changshu and Zhaowen Counties share the same capital town; the two counties cover the area bordered by Yangtze River to the northeast, Jiangyin County to the west, Jingui County to the southwest, Zhangzhou to the south, Xinyang to the southeast, and Taicang to the east.        
        
The Fushan Town on the map was known as Fushan Fort built during Ming Jiajing period. Based on the changes of Fushan Town recorded in the documents and the information given on the map, the map may have been drawn during the 59th year of Qing Qianlong’s reign and the 23rd year of Daoguang’s reign, 1794-1843.
