Title is written on a label in black ink and affixed to the map. Scale, legend, and orientation are not given; north is at the bottom, judging from locations on the map. The map covers the area from the west of the Langshan Left Brigade to the east of Benbiao Right Brigade along the Yangtze River’s banks. The Yangtze River is represented by waves in the center of the map; mountains, military posts, and cities are depicted pictorially. There are 43 red labels with written text affixed to the map, containing ocean mileage, sailing conditions, artillery placements, and the soldier staffing levels.        
        
Jingkou Naval Division was under the command of the Jingkou Naval Admiral and went through several changes. In the 14th year of Daoguang’s reign, 1834, began to connect with neighboring Xingtai with boundary in the middle of river. The map may have been drawn around the 14th year of Qing Daoguang’s reign, 1834.
