Title is revised from which written on the verso of the map. Scale and legend are not given; orientation is marked along the borders on all four sides with north at the bottom. Annotations record boundaries and distances of neighboring counties. The map depicts some features pictorially, including mountains, hills, rivers, brigades, and bridge piers. Explanatory text indicates the number of soldiers stationed at each post. Changzhou Brigade controls the counties of Wujin, Yanghu, Wuxi, Jingui, Yixing, and Jingxi, and under the jurisdiction of Jiangnan Corps Admiral.

Military and political divisions were not about the same size. There were eight counties under the administration of Changzhou Prefecture; but Changzhou Brigade had military control over six counties. The map may have been drawn around Qing Jiaqing period, 1896-1820.
