No title appears on the map; the title applied here is based on content. The map shows the area of Wujin and Yanghu, the two attached counties of Changzhou Prefecture. It covers the area of 35 townships, bordered by Wuxi to the east, Danyang and Jintan to the west, Yixing to the south and Jiangyin to the north. No scale or legend is given. North is at the top, judging from locations of the bordering counties on the map. There are annotations throughout the map, especially about bridges and floods; townships are written in red and the map is depicted in simple lines. The Grand Canal runs from southeast to northwest. The map also includes text of historical events of Ming Dynasty.

Bridges and ferries dominate the map, but the coverage is not overwhelming in comparison with the local gazetteer that records the details of bridges. The map may have been drawn during mid-Daoguang and Xianfeng period (1836-1855). This is one of Charles George Gordon’s No. 32 collection.
