The map depicts the range of Shengjing's territory in the Qing Dynasty. The territory is divided among the following generals: Fengtian, Fengtian fu, Jinzhou fu, Baiduna, Ningguta, and Heilongjiang. It gives distances between mountains, rivers, cities, towns, and major roads and stations. The map depicts the Korean defensive stronghold along the Yalu River and the east bank of the Tumen River. North is at the top. Inset map of Shengjing (Shenyang) is included with accompanying text that describes the size of the city, and the historical changes of military and political units. The text further explains major mountains and rivers, such as Changbai Mountain, Huntong River (converged from Heilongjiang and Songhuajiang), and Jingpo. The notes describe the Heilongjiang and its tributaries in great detail. Red lines from Yizhou to Shengjing indicate travel routes from Korea to China and fortifications surrounding Shengjing. The map covers northeast Manchuria of the Qing Dynasty.
