Title is missing from this map; the title applied here is based on content. Scale and legend are not given; orientation is marked along the borders on all four sides with north at the top. The capital town of Xiangshan County, garrisons, and islands are depicted pictorially and accompanied with explanatory text. Other than Xiangshan Brigade, the map covers mainly the coastal areas and the sea under the jurisdictions of Changshi Naval Forces. The bold red lines mark the boundaries of the sea under different navy commands.

Changshi garrison was changed to naval forces in the eighth year of Qing Yongzheng’s reign, 1730. It was equipped with six war ships to defend Changguo Wei, Shipu Suo, and newly established navy posts. Every defense garrison is marked; the map may have been drawn after the eighth year of Qing Yongzheng’s reign, 1730.
